Dear mama

I was pleasantly surprised when I realized I had managed to capture this scene because that night, my camera had run out of battery so I had to guesstimate the exposure without light meter and with the only mechanical shutter speed available on my Minolta (1/100). Besides, I didn't have time to bracket before the moment was gone. I opted for f/1.4 then and just pressed the shutter release, without much confidence. This film is a resized motion picture film stock with a really fine grain that I chose to expose at EI 400 because it's expired. It's also fearured here:

    @FLAMINGOID did you processed it with ECN2 or C41?

    @shufi It was processed with ECN2. But it can be processed with C-41 chemistry with quite similar results, from what I've heard.

    @FLAMINGOID cool! I've tried both with ECN-2 & C41, prefer to proceed it with ECN2. I haven't tried Eterna 500T so I'm curious :D

    @shufi It's a very nice film but I usually overexpose it a little bit (I shoot it at 320 or 400 and have it developed at 500) or it can still get yellowish under strong tungsten lights. This picture for instance was with LED lights though, so I shot it at 400. Otherwise, under a tungsten lightbulb, I would have tried at 320 and even 250 or 200 if under streetlights (awful sodium vapor lamps here in Bangkok).

    I see.. Have you tried Kodak Vision 3 500T? Do you find any differences on both? I still have some Kodak vision. This photo also makes me miss Thailand, I went there twice for Full Moon Party & Songkran, so much fun :D

    @shufi No I have never tried it, never seen it actually. But I have some Fuji Eterna Vivid 250D and Fuji F-64D in the fridge, waiting for sunnier days. Those are daytime-balanced though. Well, if you come back to Thailand, let me know, I'll give you the address where you can buy those films on the cheap (100 THB each). They also have Kodak Vision 3 in 200T if I remember well.

    wow 100 THB is so cheap! Do you know any store/contact where I can do online purchase? Seems that it's cheaper there. I still have some Fuji Eterna 250D, Kodak Vision3 500T, 200T & 50D at home, I like film bulks haha

    @shufi Yes, it's the cheapest film here after Kodak ColorPlus (95 THB). All of those I told you cost 100 THB here but as far as I know it's only sold in their small, local photo lab and unfortunately they don't ship. If you want to buy some online, you can try eBay or Amazon but it's probably going to be more expensive. Otherwise, I just checked the price for parcels from here to Indonesia and it's 500 THB for <500g (about 15 rolls).

    That's a lot cheaper, here Colorplus will cost at least around 135-150 THB. Big thanks for your information, I'm looking for some at eBay ^^
