15/52 Fibroduck

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, you were right first time, this is Fibroduck ! Fibroduck is a character intended to raise awareness of a condition called fibromyalgia. As you can see, she is at large in the lakes of Ireland.

The picture was taken with a Holga loaded with 35mm film. The Holga is designed to take 120 film but with a bit of trickery it is possible to use 35mm film. I spooled one 35mm canister into another and masked up as much of the camera as I could with insulating tape. The camera has two shutter speeds, approximately 1/125 seconds and bulb. It has two apertures, sunny and not sunny so you hope for the best and click the shutter. The camera was a lot of fun to use but scanning is a nightmare.
