Huángshān – the Yellow Mountain is one of the most popular touristic destinations in China.

Spectacular landscapes, hot springs and optical light effects such as “href”:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glory_ are the main reasons to come there.

There are two cable cars to get to the mountains. To save time you can go up by one, visit several scenic spots and viewpoints and get down by the other one in one day. Having enough money, you can stay on the summit overnight, visit more places and not to be in a hurry. Budget sleeping option can be youth hostels in Huangshan City and in Tunxi – they also might help you to get to the foot of the mountain early morning. Remember that the last bus from the foot of the mountain to Tunxi or to Huangshan city is near 17:00.
