Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?

I’m a primary school teacher. I’m from a small town called Albacete (located two hours from Madrid) where everybody knows each other, haha! I love traveling with my girl, cooking, and practicing Aikido!

Describe the LomoKino in five words.

Fun, surprising, exciting, lovely, old-school.

How did you like shooting with the LomoKino?

From the beginning the whole experience has been exciting and unpredictable. Being able to make movies using 35mm films is amazing! The possibilities are countless and you can express your emotions using a friendly and easy-to-use camera.

What or who has inspired you to purchase and use the LomoKino?

I’ve always been a vintage movies fanatic. So when I heard about the LomoKino, I knew I had to have it! Then a couple of months later my fiancé gave it to me as a Valentine’s day present. Since then she has encouraged me to use it and experience it.

Juan is also an awesome Lomographer, of course!

Any funny or strange encounters you’ve had with it?

After shooting a couple of movies in day light I wanted to experience shooting at night so I decided to go for it! I grabbed my camera, loaded it with a ISO 800 film, and I stood in the middle of a really crowded street and… action! It was bit dangerous and exciting at the same time.

If you could shoot any person alive or dead (or imaginary) with your LomoKino, who would it be and why?

I would like to shoot Jim Morrison because for me he is really inspiring.

Kindly share to us any LomoKino movie you love the most.

All the LomoKino movies have a special something. From my personal movies my favorite is “Hope." I shot it in the beach and with only three film rolls, I achieved great results!

Hope by juansupergen

Any future plans with your LomoKino? More shoots or a full-length film perhaps?

I haven’t shot anything new in the last couple of months, but the ideas in my head are countless! Probably a black and white suspense movie will be my next one… We’ll see.

Your advice to future LomoKino users.

Always try new things; the limit is your imagination! Shoot on the street, indoors, to strangers, at night, everything is possible!
