Souqs- Magic Labyrinth of Marrakech

Souq means "market". They occupy quite a big part of the Medina (old town) and may be a bit problematic to navigate, even if you posses a good map. Street names are a rare thing to see in Marrakech in general, and here just forget it, you just go with the flow.

Spitalfields Market - Shopping Mecca of East London

On a border of the Financial City with its skyscrapers, there is Spitalfields Market from which the East End starts. 50 steps away from busy Liverpool Street Station, and you are already lost in narrow and curvy streets which haven't changed through centuries.

Haas: coffee and art. When I lived in the colorful area of Bo-Kaap 7 years ago, I couldn't imagine finding SUCH a place there at all. But all these years later, things have changed for the good. Bo-Kaap is an area of Cape Town, South Africa formerly known as the Malay Quarter. It is quintessentially a Township, situated on the slopes of Signal Hill above the city centre and is a historical centre of Cape Malay culture in Cape Town.

Nice (Charms of The Old City)

One of the main charms of Nice (besides the sea, of course) is the old city, "la vielle ville" or "vieux Nice" like the people here call it. It's a typical old Mediterranean city from the middle ages which has supported very few modifications since the 15th century (at least). As it is a main tourist attraction, there's a regular effort of the city to maintain in good state the architectural heritage of this old city and the whole area is really in a very good conservation state.

Mustafa Centre - 24h shopping in Singapore

Last Summer I was for two days in Singapore - and they surely have been intensive days. First day, work right after landing - no sleep that night, because we had to "scout" the clubs. Second day work - and in the night - well, what the heck. We discovered a 24 hour shopping Mall called Mustafa.

Kosovo is calm at the moment, but you never know. The southern part of Serbia is always on the threshold of trouble. Because 90 percent of all kosovars in Albania naturally seek for independence, but this is a long way to go. Meanwhile Kosovo is a shopping paradise for soldiers, politicians and whoever sets his foot on a friendly market. They offer great skullcaps, Adidas-shoes for a handful of dollars and they have a huge industry of barber-shops! And they barb as hell, every hairsection you could imagine with the sharpest knives around and with the most exciting feeling, that life comes and life goes...
