    @bloomchen surprized? most of the Italian beaches are serviced by private operators and you must pay to enjoy the sea, to rent one of these umbrella and two chair you must pay untill 20 euro per day! that's Italy! :(

    no i'm not surprised. I was in lignano 2 years ago for the worlds ultimate beach championships and i saw the sytstem there. it was weird at night to walk through an area which was like a quarter of a city.

    it's a beautiful photo but not so enjoying to know if you have to pay for the beach area.

    @istionojr thanx for the compliment :-) it is sadly true! swimming is free but if you wanna chilling on the beach with your own umbrella and other stuff you can't, is a kind of privatization of the beaches, in some part of Italy (near Rome for example) you must pay also to enter the beaches! isn't crazy(and stupid)?
