First Home-Developed Film!

This was going to be my "practice" roll. I didn't expect much of it; so I used my least favorite camera and film. Holy Crap! Let's just say, I really see the potential of a fisheye lens now. And Lady Grey isn't half bad.

I used Ilford ID-11, and developed the film for 10 minutes. It was FUN! I'm gonna do it again! I thought I messed up because I saw all these spots on the negatives; but it ended up just being the sun. I am very proud of my results :-)

A few of you are going to recognize this landscape…those trees, from my recent albums. But the fisheye and monochrome film give a whole new view.

Congrats, Vici! Very well done! Isn't it just the greatest feeling taking the spool out of the development tank and seeing the pictures for the first time ...? ;-) I personally don't like fisheye shots that much, but these are really great. The contrast is just perfect without loosing detail in the greys. Keep up the good work, Vici! C41 is just a little step away ;-) Cheers!

@troch, @gazie, @yago56, @ug_a, @alburnkat, @kleeblatt, @clickiemcpete, and @kibs - Thanks so much for the kind words and encouragement! I love having a roll of negatives hanging in my bathtub! and @moodification - with my local lab turning it around in less than a day and only charging me $3. a roll for C-41, I won't be trying it anytime soon. E6 will probably be next…
