Cross-Processed Fuji Velvia 50 RVP: Keeps the Spirit of Your Scenes
written by andyresag on 2012-04-12 #gearA while ago I ordered Fuji Velvia 50 RVP 35mm color slide film because I liked the idea of getting very fine grained pictures it promises to deliver. It is a slow speed film that, if treated with xpro, features slight to medium versatile color shifts and very saturated colors. Compared to the Velvia ISO 100's typical red and purplish hues, cross-processing the Velvia ISO 50 brings you more subtle but still distinctive results. It's not the best choice for night photography. Now, the colors that it brings is what I like about it.

Ilford Sportsman 300 Review from My 30 Weeks, 30 Cams Project
written by bloomchen on 2012-03-30 #gearThis is the review of the camera I used in the first week of my "30 Weeks, 30 Cams Project": the Ilford Sportsman 300. I found this camera on eBay for € 2.49. I didn't know anything about it but thought the name is somehow funny and it would be a nice camera to start the project with. So here is my review about the handling of the camera.

Secondhand Love Affair: My Zenit 122
written by sirio174 on 2012-02-17 #gearMy first reflex was a Zenit E, my true "photography teacher." After this camera, I bought other Zenit models, as a Zenit EM, a TTL...funny cameras to shoot with, but they are are QUITE HEAVY. So, some years ago, I had a great secondhand affair with a Zenit 122. Same family, but with less weight to carry.

Voigtländer V200: Attention, Please!
written by wil6ka on 2012-01-19 #gearColor negative film often doesn’t appeal to me. There seem to be endless variation and colours are not as reliable as slide film, and cross processing it is basically not an option. But it is the variety, that makes analogue photography ever exciting and the Voigtländer V200 is a choice that catches more of my attention lately!

Kodak Ektachrome 320T (EPJ) - Magic Tungsten
written by cwyeung on 2011-05-29 #gearIn the market, options of fresh Tungsten films are becoming less and less. However, there are more expired and cheaper Tungsten films. I just bought it with the similar price of fresh negative film. Unfortunately, the seller wants to keep some for himself, and doesn't sell it to others anymore. Let's have a look on this roll of EPJ which is hard to get.

Kodak Brownie Target Six-20
written by watttan on 2011-01-25 #gearThis vintage Brownie camera was produced by Eastman Kodak Company during 1940s. It’s a simple yet amazing camera uses film 620, which is now almost nowhere to find. I managed to kick start this antique by modifying the more common film 120 to fit it, read down and see how I did it :)
