Places to Go for Traveling Lomographers: Petite France
2 9 Share TweetLooking for a unique scenery near the bustling city of Seoul? Just an hour's drive away sits a little village reminiscent of old country France. Petite France is a theme park in Gapyeong, South Korea, that will make you get in touch with the innocent child in you.
You'll instantly notice Petite France as it sits pretty in front of mountains. The small village was created in dedication to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's Le Petit Prince. Our Lomographer Richard Lin, a.k.a. @lzyrich just visited the place last year.
“Petite France is a small French Cultural Village in Seoul, Korea. It was made famous by a Korean Drama, 'My Love From The Star'. The whole place was created according to the French Novel, Le Petit Prince.” said @lyzrich.
Although having been featured in another acclaimed Hallyu-wave drama Secret Garden, for non-locals, the place remains hidden as it's outside Seoul. The area consists of 16 French-style, European architecture buildings and 23 stops.
“Stepping into this place is like living inside a fairytale story and every corner will be picturesque. Immersed yourself with traditional French architecture by listening to Orgel (music box) music with a valley backdrop. Such as ideal place to live in, isn't it?” added @lzyrich.
