I was clearing out my car and found a roll of cheap supermarket film in the glovebox, it must have been there for years getting slowly cooked n frozen again and again through the passing summers and winters, so thought it must be suitably ruined to call lomo worthy. I loaded it into my Canonet, set the apperture to f1.7 shutter to 60th, and focus to 2.6' then took a wander over Trent Bridge down Victoria Embankment over the freshly refurbished suspension bridge then back up the riverside randomly snapping along the way. I forgot it was only a 12exp so ran out of film after a matter of minutes, but that didn't matter, I had my favorite camera, the sun was out and it was a gloriously warm morning.

My first roll of redscale! I actually quite like it and the wide angle popeye camera helps, I'm looking forward to using it again :)

I miss them so much, most specially the 5-month old Simon who would easily smile as I move my fingers close-open. It's nice to get to know new friends from other parts of the world. Now I have friends from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Even if I don't speak Spanish (no abla Español) as I never took the language course in college, we were able to get along very well, thanks to key Spanish words we commonly understand. Good thing many Spanish words are part of the dynamic Filipino language. Took these photos during the Bluehour - a regular event at the Lomostore in Ipanema where lomographers and lomo enthusiasts come to check the stuff in the store, interact with each other about analogue and anything under the sun, listen to analogue music, munch different kinds of nuts and drink free cold Brazilian beers. Life is cool in Rio and beers really ice-cold! Oh, let me clarify that the baby doesn't drink beer, ok.
