Fuji Neopan (35mm, 1600 iso) user-review

10

The beast for total darkness! When it is so dark, that you would not even know what film to take there is only one option left: the Neopan 1600!

It is so sensitive that you can barely use it during the day. Even if it’s very cloudy and the sun is nowhere to be seen. This Black and White Fuji gives you the fullest contrast only at night or indoor shooting. On the other hand you could be into this dreamy, washed out, slightly overexposed daylight-pictures than this film is a great option too, you just have to handle the beast.

For the night-shots I was really impressed, how much light it can press out from a little source. The tone is very vintage that gave my shots very classic look. Recently, I used it for a concert at the Wacken festival and always waited until a glimpse of the lights came across. The other occasion I have used the Neopan was in a Japanese guesthouse. I wanted to do some Geisha-shots. I kind of beheaded everyone because I released the shutter from afar ;) but this film was great!

Sweet concert pics. I like the daylight ones with their washed out look. I want to get some of this so badly.
