Cross Over Rumble Winners Announcement

The cross-over rumble that LomoAmigo Ties created has ended and the winners have been picked! Want to know if you won one of those awesome prizes? Read on!

Together with Ties Mellema we started a rumble last month: Cross-Over rumble by LomoAmigo Ties. Ties is a saxophone player with a passion for analogue photography and he recently became a LomoAmigo. He loves cross-overs, not only in music, but also in photography. That’s why we asked you guys to submit your pictures in that theme.

It took us some time, but eventually we chose the following winners:

The Main Prize

This picture, made by bonifacy_bonifacy is loaded with cross-overs. First off, it’s a double exposure, so that’s a given. But it also shows us how people used to be depicted as realistic as possible with eye for extreme detail. Opposed to that is the stylized figure of a cross-walk light, which triples the cross-over theme!

A breathtaking black and white piece by earlybird: one person and two faces which both have a different expression. Beautifully done!

bloomchen made an awesome double exposure of a sleeping young lady and a graphic from a magazine. We love the cross-over between reality and fantasy here!

This cross-over by saintempire is a great example of a double exposure where he shot the same person twice. It’s as if he is looking at himself from the other side of the frame.

The above pictures are part of the “Cross-Over” exhibit that will soon be opening in the Gallery Store Amsterdam. But they’re not the only ones! The pictures below will also be on display and they earned their spot in this exhibit! Congratulations!

The exhibit will be opened on Wednesday, May 30th, and of course, Ties will be there! He’ll even give a little concert around 8 PM with the Amstel Quartet! It’s already a legendary evening and it hasn’t even started yet! More info about this soiree can be found in this article.
