Awesome Albums: BELAIR by lorazombie

This week's featured awesome album contains some photos that you may have already seen last year. But, we bet you'd still like the amazing Belair snaps by lorazombie that you'll find after the jump!

Photo from Lora Zombie site

Just last month, the folks from Lomography Russia introduced us to Saint Petersburg-based painter Lora Zombie, who creates her masterpieces in grunge style. Aside from merging intuitive drawings with splashes of colors, lorazombie (yes, she's a fellow community member, and a LomoAmigo, in fact!) also takes film photos and Lomographs! While Lora says her favorite camera is the Lomo LC-Wide, we found out that she has also played around with the Belair X 6-12!

The Belair photos above were taken with various films, but all taken in an awesome way: by overlapping two strips of 35mm films to create "70mm" photos! While this trick was made popular for use in Holga cameras, the Belair -- also a medium format camera -- is likewise a great choice for this technique!

The Awesome Albums series is exactly what it says on the tin -- it’s a love letter of sorts from the Editors addressed to user-uploaded albums that had caught their eye and had inadvertently fallen in love with. Please understand though, they’re really just here to express their love and nothing more.
