My Best LC-A and LC-A+ Photos Ever

Happy Birthday, Lomo LC-A! This little camera and I are almost inseparable. As a tribute, I’ll show you my ten favorite photos taken with this little jewel. Take a look!

I took the first five photos in my city Como. I wanted to have the look of classic street photography, so I highlighted the relationship between the main subject and the environment. In some of them, I tried to show the interrelation between strangers. The moderate wide-angle lens of the LC-A allowed me to capture the whole scene and have a good depth of field between the foreground and the background.

In the first image, there is a strong relation between the person sitting on the bench and the two surrounding trees. His hat looks like pruned leaves, the same shape as the trees.

Here, I was interested in the interaction between a street artist and a passer-by.

A lady walking her dog stops to look at a bicycle race.

A bike bearing a mother and her child passes between bicycles tied to the poles.

A wooden statue seems to be observing passers-by, who in turn look at the sculpture.

The second series is dedicated to the interaction between people and water. In the first picture you can see a child running freely into the water while his mother tucks the hem of her pants. She prefers to go into the water with caution, unlike the child. (I took the photo in the beginning of summer, when the water was still quite cool!)

In this photo you can see a fun balancing game in Zurich.

The closed umbrella seems to divide people according to age.

Two people enjoy the last rays of the sun.

In this last picture you can see people huddled along the small natural beach of Eraclea in the always fascinating Venetian Lagoon.
