Giona Andreani Captures the Urban Space with the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 Lens

Community member Giona Andreani (@gionnired) took his analogue camera with the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 lens attached to it for a splendid series of architectural photographs in the isle of Sicily.

One of the legacies of the Lomo LC-A camera is its Minitar 1 lens. The lens is responsible for the impressive photographic prowess on the cult classic compact camera. Now, its torch is being carried by the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 Art Lens, which features the same optics and engineering of the LC-A, remodified for the contemporary times as it is both compatible with analogue and digital cameras.

Hence, Lomographer Giona could not help but bring the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 Art Lens with him to Italy's "toe", Sicily, with his companion Claudia Sajeva (aka @-dakota-), for a visual tour of its history and architecture.

The year 2018 is the year for traveling to the most unlikely places, and this was exactly how Andreani kicked the year off. Through the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 Art Lens the communes of Gibellina Nuova, Poggioreale, Salaparuta gained their moment as the effects and remnants from the 1968 Belice earthquake remain evident.

The picturesque towns boasted many angles, shapes, and perspectives that Andreani took advantage of by playing with the light and shadows.

The couple also went to Palermo, the autonomous region of Sicily. The city is known for its rich culture and history as seen in its architecture. Palazzos, churches from Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque movements remain erected. Moreover, its rich nightlife allowed the couple to make the most out of the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 Art Lens for some night street photography.
