Load your Lubitel with any film (35mm, 120 or 220 (as redscale, too)), add the flash (be sure to have fresh batteries and set it on MF – (multiflash mode). Darken your room, set your Lubitel on B (bulb mode) and f5.6 (or f8) and start shooting, so you avoid overexposing your shots.

You have two possibilities to shoot.

Regular Longtime.

Make a regular longtime – exposure, let your object move or move your camera. Flash fires automatically when you release two times per second. You’ll have one square shot with your object in different angles and layers, like a regular multiple exposure with lots of flash – fire.

Advance the Film

Make a longtime exposure, but advance your film while the flash shoots and you’re exposing. Do it as long as you want to (the longest endless portrait is 220 or 35mm). You’ll have overlapping shots.
It is big fun for group- portraits. Arrange the group around you in a circle and turn around while shooting.
