  • Strange looking moss (favorite off this roll)

    shared by objectionableconformity on 2014-05-26

This shot of the moss turned out better than I had hoped. The moss looked like grass with strange little balls on the tips. Ilford in Mamiya with macro lens, extension tube used on some images. D76 20° for 11 min.

From ”filmsoup-swap” project with my favorite photographer fotobes. About this photo I shot first in Japan, and then he started shooting in UK. After finishing the roll he ”cooked” the film. On completing the roll, he mixed together some boiled water with silica gel and washing detergent, and left it to cool a little. Then he went into his make-shift darkroom and pulled out the film from the canister. Next he flicked and dabbed the ”soup” onto the exposed film. He waited for a few minutes and then rewound the film into the canister. Afterwards he went to the kitchen and dropped the film into just-boiled water, and after 5 minutes I transferred it into cold water for a minute. Then back in the darkroom he pulled the film out from the canister again and dried it with a hairdryer, and when done he rewound the film. The film was then developed at Asda, and scanned at The Vault in Brighton. We don’t discuss what we have each taken photographs of, so the results are always a surprise. Check out fotobes’s album from the same project. http://www.lomography.com/homes/fotobes/albums/1995715-lc-a-plus-film-soup-swap-with-hodachrome

Fujichrome 50D, 13 years old. Amazing colors. The clouds were very dark and they turned out bright blue ! Quite an amazing film I must say. So sad it doesn't exist anymore.

    shared by mrmaart on 2013-11-05

For my 29th birthday I invited my friends Arjen & Manon who run a project called http://www.tintypestudio.nl/. They brought down their Tin Type Mobile Studio with dark room and full camera equipment to shoot some wet plated collodion photos of me and my friends. We had lots of fun and I truly love the stunning results. We created nicely shaped paper frames with our own 1920 stamp with our initials in it. To finish up the project.
