  • My first Holga pics

    shared by clausmith on 2014-03-16

After I bought my Holga 120 GTL, I spent 2 rolls of films, shooting sceneries around my house. When I took them to the Lab, I was informed that it would take one week for the processing. One week is too long... so I decided to convert my Holga 120 into a 35mm, like those tutorials spread on youtube, to be able to process in one hour, at any lab. The conversion worked, but not all the pics were nice. Actually only few of them were ok. At least now I have some Holga pictures and I am twisting my fingers for the next ones I am going to get in the end of the week. Hope that those 120 films did better than this 35mm.

    shared by hodachrome on 2014-05-11

Forgotten or unpublished photos of 2013. From EBS (exposing both sides of the film). Shot on negative side first (lower half) in Japan. After finished a roll I reversed the film and set it the camera again. Then went to Malaysia and shot upper half. ISO400 for negative side, 200 for reversed (redscale) side. Have a look at my article about this technique: http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2013/01/14/tipster-how-to-take-symmetrical-images-with-exposing-both-sides-of-the-film-ebs

A dear friend gave me the gift of a rare and beautiful film... I intended to shoot this @100iso; but in the rush of loading film on the fly, the ISO was left @400 - a happy accident. The tones in the photos are so rich, they remind me of jewels. The details in the sky are an unexpected gift as well. For TRW. p.s. the film expired in 1995
