A fresh new year with new months and of course, new Lomography events! Check this schedule for all the events that Lomography the Netherlands have planed in January of 2012. A new years mixer, expos, workshops, and more!

We’ve been having the Sunday afternoon workshops for a while now and it’s about time we rev up the amount of events in and around the Lomography Gallery Store Amsterdam. What? When? How? Should I bring a full grown panda bear? Answers to (almost) everything are here:

Analogue New Years Mixer with Lomography!
Friday, January 6th
6 pm – 10 pm

The holidays are over, your first college or work week of the year has passed and you should still be grasping at those new years resolutions. Come share all of those with us during the analogue new years mixer!

2 pm – 4 pm

Are you all excited about the LomoKino? Then don’t miss this awesome workshop in which you will get to make your own short film! We will explain how the LomoKino works and next to that we’ll guide you through the creative process or writing, directing and filming your masterpiece.

As an inspirational piece, here is a movie we made during ‘Sinterklaas’ at the Gallery Store Amsterdam :)

Panorama images are amazing, it’s about time we got some attention towards the Sprocket Rocket, Spinner 360 and the Horizon camera’s! We’ll explain how the camera’s work and give you all the tools needed to shoot some amazing pictures.

FoamLab as Lomo Amigo – the Expo

Seven creative souls in one collective: FoamLab. We’ve become friends in the past year and followed them around. All of them have been covered in the LomoAmigo section of the magazine and on January 12th, we’ll open their expo at the Lomography Gallery Store in Amsterdam!

Creating Crazy Colors
Sunday, January 15th
2 pm – 4 pm

X-pro is one of those things we Lomographers just flat out love. We experiment with color, cross slide films, and find new combinations that make even more color jump off of the images.
If you’re new to this, or just want to learn more, come and enroll in the X-pro workshop!

Shoot with your Dream Camera!

Oh yeah baby – during this workshop you get the unique chance to take the Lomography camera of your dreams for a test drive! Be it the ultra-sharp shooting LC-A+, the wide angle awesomeness of the LC-Wide or maybe the fat squares of the Lubitel 166+ – you pick the camera and get to push it to the limits.

LomoWalk through the Jordaan

11 am – 1 pm

Follow our workshop masters into the cute little streets of the Jordaan during this LomoWalk. View the architecture in a new way and shoot some amazing images with your own camera!

Double Trouble Workshop

Do you like some surrealism in your photography? Thanks to yet another great workshop at the Lomography Gallery Store in Amsterdam you can learn the coolest tricks multiple exposures have to offer.

Go Close or Go Home Workshop
Tuesday January 31st
5pm – 7 pm

We’ve all seen them – beautiful portraits that come by every now and then in the photostreams. But we’re never entirely sure how they where made. During this workshop you will get the best tips for some amazing portraits and you’ll get the chance to apply these tips straight away!

• Every workshop is €15 per person, unless stated otherwise
• Every participant gets one practice camera, a roll of film + development and a download link to your own images.
• Be present at the Gallery Store 15 minutes before the workshop starts and pay for the workshop at the Gallery Store counter.
• Every participant will get a 10% discount voucher that you can spend in the Gallery Store Amsterdam.
