Expired Konica VX 200: A Great LC-A Companion
7 14 Share TweetIt’s raw. It’s grainy. It has poor dynamic range. It’s a leak-catcher. It’s expired Konica VX (35mm, 200 ISO), and it’s soooo awesome! Learn more about this great partner for the Lomo LC-A after the jump!
I bought 4 rolls of this color negative film with 12 exposures each by chance. It was very cheap and at the moment I wanted to test my new vintage Lomo LC-A. I didn’t expect much from this film and my first roll, to say honest, also came out not so good. It was mostly because I always forgot to set the range correctly, but its all about me.
However, starting from the second roll, I fell in love with the results that the expired Konica VX 200 gives. The photos are very high contrasted, with emphasized saturated green and red tones. It also gives lovely red lightleaks. Take a look and enjoy:
I was curious how will it fit my Zenit 122 and also was satisfied with the results:
In the end, I would highly recommend everyone, especially LC-A owners, to get a few rolls of this great film. It should be easy to find on ebay or some local photo stores at the relatively low price.
Good luck!
