Hi Luis, welcome back to Lomography Magazine! Can you tell us a bit about what you've been up to since your last feature?

Well, time flies by very fast, and here we are again! The last feature was a few years ago, with photos I took in Miami. Since then I’ve been taking more photos and working on a few projects, one of them being a book, Beauty Beauty, which is now on presale and should be published soon.

Can you tell us about what you decided to shoot with the new LomoChrome Color '92 film ?

I was very excited to use the film so I rushed through the whole roll. Basically, I went on a bike ride and took some street shots.

How would you describe the look of this film?

It has a lo-fi look but obviously it depends which camera/lens you use and how you shoot. But it’s a film you can use in any situation and the photos will look good without too many technical specifics. It’s a fun film that lets you be very free, and is very rooted in Lomography style.

Do you have a favorite photo taken with the LomoChrome Color '92?

Yes, a photo of two guys who almost look like twins.

What do you like most about this film?

In some unconscious way, it gives me the freedom to be more playful, and I also like that its color palette reminds me of one of my favorite photographer's tones.

How do you feel about a new color negative film being on the market?

If you love film photography as much as I do, it’s always exciting to know there’s a new film on the market, especially if it’s coming from Lomography. it shows that film photography is here to stay and will continue to grow.

What do you think is the perfect situation for shooting this film?

There are no rules. It’s great with a flash but, for me, I really enjoy it in natural light or underground, on the subway, in fluorescent light.

Which camera did you use?

I thought of using a different camera this time, but in the end I stuck with one of my favorite point-and-shoots, the Ricoh GR1s, which is the same camera I use to shoot LomoChrome Purple.

What are your hopes for the future of film photography?

That we can continue shooting film and that younger generations will embrace film photography and keep color film alive forever.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Maybe in the future it would be cool to have a strong blue film.
