   I saw her there for just a second,
   Caught a glimpse then she was gone,
   I ask myself, if I had beckoned,
   Would this all have gone so wrong,

   Now on the road I wander loosely,
   Cursing with my every step,
   Did I lose her or did she lose me,
   I fear with time I will forget,

   ...

   Then on the distant bright horizon,
   I see a figure, just a dot,
   The girl I wish to fix my eyes on,
   The girl I almost once forgot.
